Teams

A team is the basic unit of data in Loop. It holds the agents who work there and everything they manage — properties, applicants, vendors, viewings, and so on. If you think of a high-street estate agency branch, that's a team.

What lives in an team

Almost everything you'll work with through the API belongs to an team:

  • The agents (users) who work from it
  • The properties it markets, for sale or to let
  • The people it deals with — vendors, landlords, applicants, tenants
  • The activity around those records — viewings, offers, tenancies

Team scoped API keys

Your API key is scoped to exactly one team, and every request you make sees that team's data and nothing else. You don't filter by team or pass a team ID — the scoping happens automatically from your key.

If you're building for an organisation with several teams, you'll either hold one key per team or have an organisation scoped key.
